"Photos recall a journey to death. A powerful set of photographs"

BBC Tyne
"An exhibition by local photographer Paul Brown is encouraging people not to forget the lessons of the Holocaust.
A pile of abandoned spectacles. An empty field with two grassy ditches. A disused railway line.
On first glance, the black-and-white photos on display in A Journey of Life Death and Reflection, at the Guildhall in Newcastle, seem quite innocent.
But look again and beneath the surface you sense something more sinister.
That's because the photos are actually of places associated with the Holocaust. In the grassy field thousands of Jews were shot by the Nazis,
and the railway line was used to carry thousands to their deaths.

BBC Radio Faith Programme
"Incredible Images"

Mr C Topaz

"Photographs of a fine standard, so atmospheric and moving.
Images which will remain in my mind for their understanding and humanity"

Mr M Shepherd
"Having lived and visited Poland and the camps, I thought nothing could replicate the sombre atmosphere of them. I was wrong, Paul has captured it all. Images such as these should never be forgotten"
